What is the Center of Hope? The Center of Hope is a residential Christian discipleship recovery program in Clearwater, Florida. It's based on other great programs with years of success, such as Teen Challenge and Dunklin Memorial Camp We are also affiliated with the LA Dream Center (Los Angeles CA), the St. Pete Dream Center (St. Petersburg FL), and with Dream Center International. The primary focus of this ministry is bringing people closer to God and, by doing so, helping them to resolve problems in their lives which have brought them here seeking help.

OUR MISSION The vision of the Center of Hope is to reach out to a hurting community with practical ministries that not only fulfill the needs, but heal the wounds from the past or, in some cases, the present. We have the mission of reaching out to the hurting, broken, and addicted of the Tampa Bay area through Christian discipleship homes.
Galatians 2:20 " I have been crucified with Christ: it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me."
Addiction Has No Prejudice! Addiction is an epidemic throughout the U.S. today and it holds no boundaries on age, race, gender or financial standing. We seem to picture that only homeless people are the ones affected, but that's not true. Addiction affects millions of lives, the individuals and their families, every day. It steals thousands of lives every year through automobile accidents as well as overdoses. Over 90% of the people in jail or prison are there because of drugs or alcohol, as a result of being under the influence, possession, or crimes to support their addiction. This epidemic is out of control.
The Program Those who wish to enter the program must commit to the rules of the program. We ask for a six month commitment, but encourage residents to stay for a year. Residents will be involved in daily classes and bible studies. All residents are responsible for attending group meetings and church services, doing appropriate chores and classwork. Upon graduation we help residents in their move back into society. For information on getting into the program Please CLICK HERE to go to our intake page

A Day at the Center of Hope
Weekdays begin with devotions at 6AM in the sanctuary. All residents gather for 30 minutes of prayer and bible reading, followed by breakfast.
The program consists of four different phases, each with its own level of responsibility. All clients will enter the program in Orientation Phase. Phases 1-3 also have a personal study of completing their Journey To Jesus workbooks. All clients have a meeting every night in Phase I. Those in the 2nd and 3rd phases have more privileges and have select night off from class. Fourth phase is our transitional phase. To get to fourth phase you must be at least a 1 year graduate.
At 7pm on Thursdays all clients meet for Made Free for Life. A life recovery meeting hosted by our on site Biblical counselor Reverend Edward March. Not only is this a Center of Hope meeting, but we have involved the community in it and encourage any one to come.
Saturdays are our time to give back. We volunteer half the day to working around the ministry or on an outreach. 1st and Second phase also attend church at Calvary Chapel St. Pete at night as well. Sunday the Center goes to church in the morning and also at night.
About the area The Center of Hope is located in a small community in Clearwater called Highpoint. This area is home to Pinellas Technical Institute, as well as Par Detox Center. We are right in the middle of East Bay in between McMullen Booth Rd(49th St) and Hwy 19. We are just west of St. Pete/Clearwater Airport.
RESULTS We have an 85% success rate if the client completes the 4 phases of the program, which takes 12 months. Over the past four years we have helped over 600 men. They have regained meaningful full time work, being productive parts of society. Many have been reunited with families. Many have attended Bible College and 5 are in full time ministry. Over 200 people have been baptized.
